Default Tips for Fall Cold Lake Walleye

New to me.

Any suggestions for tactics, water depth, etc ? October is too nice to put the boat away for the winter. Nice break from bowhunting.

East side of the point straight out from PP launch going in to French bay.
15-17 ft of water about 10-12 ft down suspended this time of year there.
Got a few a week ago but big ones did not seem to be there yet.
I was trolling a LT banana rainbow off a planer board.

Yeah thats where my dad hooked a big one last fall casting large Big Hammer Swimbaits. It came off right at the boat though. All the other fish we caught there were pike.

Lots of pike in that area seams to be just a small area that holds the eye.
You can get a few real big eyes there . Did your dads come off bottom or suspended?

It was suspended, we were just casting and cranking when it happened.

Thanks guys. I know that point is popular for fall pike as well. Will give it a go over the next few weeks if I can stop chasing whitetails and geese on my days off. So much to do...so little time haha
