Default How was everyones bear season? Pics plz.

Well after 3 archery bears off baits and a nice spot and stalk bear it was my turn to find the one. I filmed this bear from 6 feet to 25 feet and decided I wanted him. At 11 yds let the crossbow go what I thought was a perfect shot. 2 days of grid search in mosquito infested swamps W two friends I was defeated to the core. Crazy blood for 300yds.
Lost bear. And one of the nicest guys you can meet Milo Swanson from RMH says hey, I may have your bear on my bait.
After some photo CSI and consultation w some bear masters, it is him. Down 100lbs, 8kms away but feeding at bait.

Milo said go for it, good luck. After years of helping people this was the nicest gesture possible from a fellow hunter.

Saw two bears that night that were females and my wounded bear hung back and picked up the females and the woods erupted with rated X sounds.

However I was lucky enough to dust a wolf named Alpha Max. Bear lives. 2020 spring over. What a great time to be alive.

Please share your stories, pics. Bear hunts are a religion ya know.

It was a good season with both tags filled. Just waiting for the hides to come back!

Nice wolf!
I'd say that you shot high on the black bear.

Agree. But barrel laying on its side and arrow stuck dead center. My ground blind was elevated about 10feet up side slope.

A shot I have played over in my head many many times. Give him credit. Super tough. 150hrs logged tried everything to catch up w him.

If hes alive spring 2020 be one heck of a story to close deal.

I had a pretty solid bear season. Shot a 21 7/16 colour phase bear!

I saw tons of bears and had another jet black boar as big (body wise) as this guy, I hope to see him again next year.

To bad you didn’t get that beauty bear.
Milo is a great guy, lots of energy behind that handle bar.
Hunts hard that boy does.

Spent 30 hours in a tree stand and didn't see a thing... this guy popped out on the side of a logging road 175 yards out after I decided to ditch the stand on the last night. Dropped like a sac of potatoes through the sternum and out behind the shoulder.

Forget the exact measurement but I want to it was either 5'2-5'3 nose to tail.

Nice not to have to carry him far to the truck!
