You are right about that....they are tonnes of fun, I am hooked. I have actually had dreams about sitting in the tent watching the screen.....how sad is that?

I know people have been using them for years.....but I am a newbie and I think they are great!

The videos are recordings of the Marcum screen using my BlackBerry too....so the recording isn't the greatest quality.

Not sure when you bought your Marcum but maybe they changed the quality of of the actual camera between years?

Mine is about 3 years old so maybe your right. I get a grainy picture and can only see fish at a max 6 feet away. Do you leave the light on?

No I never use the light.....I would think it drains the battery more anyway.

In Alberta reading the regs I think using the light is a no no....if you use a light it has to be attached to your fishing line.

The camera was likely set up about 5-6 feet from the bait.....but you can probably make out shapes to 10 feet I am guessing.

From last year with my Marcum color. I handheld my digital camera to record it so it's not the ideal way to capture the screen.

The water seems to be more murky this year at most of the lakes I've been at compared to last.

Those are awesome videos, but how maddening watching all those buggers not interested at all! Maybe a little tiny hook with a fake salmon egg?
