yep a few summer 's ago stocked trout to maybe 12". on power baitil or small spoon.

Yes, I'd fished there once before a long time ago. As Gunner said, it's a stocked pond. So worms or pink maggots should also work well. There is a campground conveniently located at the entrance.

Midway Reservior (16-30-27-W4) gets stocked in May (~3,000) with 8" rainbows; possibly again in June with lesser numbers.

How do I get there? Also 16-30-27-W4 is missing 1 set of numbers..... is it like
04-16-30-27-W4?

How do you find a location from those numbers? I feel like thats a stupid question but I honestly have no idea??

fished it about 25 years ago with metro bait you used to buy at mohawk . Was good back then , took my kids there just a few years back and it sucked , my 2 cents

Midway is a nice little pond, Tested the water quality on it this summer. Saw some nice ones rising. It is also aerated.

all the ponds around here are still frozen petty good. I doubt its open yet. there may be some open water at the airator.

Carstairs weather seems to pretty warm for the rest of the week, +7 to +15 this week

sure, but right now we are still freezing at night. my dug outs are solid?? just trying to save you a drive. go south your way more lightly to find open water.

I'll save you the effort Midway is FROZEN like a brick. Went walking on it last week. Tiny gap near the windmill but not big enough to fish. I did tie into some 6" "dollar bill" fish late in the season but never pulled out anything over 11".
