Yikes: Thanks Dick. When is it?

I have to buy some liquid goodies for some folks who let me hunt on their land.

Thank you Dick.

We just got back from the in-laws, although I do believe tonight is the actual Christmas eve, the in-laws have had to move the celibrations to the closest or most convenient weekend since most everybody is back to work or school by the 6 th and 7 th.

Good time as always although her folks are defiantly showing their age, and most of the grunt work was done by the younger generations, it drove the mother in-law nuts, as she wants to but she simply can't because of her age and malidies, it's a sad reminder of what will soon follow.

I hope everyone is having a great meal with family and friends. Mine was outstanding!

on a side note ..I prefer only cabbage rolls with real sour cabbage drenched in bacon fat not the "new fangile" way with tomatoe sauce. Anyone else? No offence to those who prefer the other way.

Default Missed the gathering this year

I sure don't mind the kutia...

I haven't taught the kids the 'chuck on the ceiling' tradition... I think my Irish wife would lose it.

Best wishes to all!

Merry Christmas to all! I miss the old days of going over to baba and gidos as a young boy. I leave the Christmas tree up until uk Xmas and recognize it but it's not the same.

Btw those pics of that food look amazing! I bet you are all so full you had to wash it down with some wine or vodka haha.

Христос народжується to the AO community.

First year in many that the family cannot get together so I will be spending a quiet ukrainian xmas with my mother. She was able to make some of her famous perogys and cabbage rolls for the occasion. I will make the whitefish.

Sort of saddened that everyone in my family is thinking work and school are more important than tradition. I will always continue to honour the day.

As long as you keep it and share it when the opportunity presents itself it will live.
