Default 500 LBS of MUD

Anybody know a good and easy way of getting the mud from the underside of a truck? Bet ya there is 500 pounds of mud under there, its all froze up too. Its a Ford F350 4X. Dang truck is shaking now.

Worse comes to worse just put on my rain gear and do it myself. Pity the car wash. hehehe

Thanks.

Is there an 8 minute semi wash where you are? The one in Lloydminster uses thousands of gallons of water, very high volume low pressure.

Thanks will look into that. Hehe don't think $10 will wash the body let alone the underside. I crunched the rear passenger quarter panel into into a tree too. Not too bad.

You could go find a shallow river that's not froze up and sit in it, it works for the atv guys

Or take it to Walmart for a free 49 point inspection. Make them clean it

Hehe

We had a company truck F150 taken to Sherwood Ford cause it had problems shifting into drive and park. And sometimes would not start. THE PROBLEM TOO MUCH MUD IN THE UNDER FRAME. They charged us $1000 for the under carriage wash. They farmed it out. That was all that was wrong.

It was 30$ for my FJ couple of weeks ago in RMH car wash so I don't think 10$ will cut it.

When I was running a small electrical panel shop whse, when the programmers went to site the 4x4's would get covered we farmed it out, and it was anywhere from 300 to 450 depend, on how covered they were..

Default Truck lift

Google a truck lift at a carwash near you. Rocky Mtn. house for instance has a hydraulic lift that tilts your truck so you can gear up and do an undercarriage wash.

If you have access to a heated garage you may want to warm it up for a couple of hours, should come off a lot easier.

Make your own nozzle that's bent 90°, bring couple crescent wrenches and different size adapter fittings, swap car wash to your mud blaster nozzle

Jeebus, that makes it really painful thinking back to the days I'd have to spend hours scraping and washing slop off the underside of my wireline truck after doing some job that paid like $30.

I know it doesn't help the OP in this instance but I always found it easier to remove as much as I could before hitting the highway to make washing easier. Also keeps mud from being dropped all over and wrecking other people's windshields. Might be harder to do on vehicles with a lower ground clearance.

Drive it up on a ramp made of 2x4's. Then get dirty!

The shaking is from mud in the wheels..... Surprised no-one threw that out there yet lol. Muddy trucks the plight of the non highway driver!!! I once had 940lbs of mud on my nissan, mom got an angry letter from the town about all the mud on the road in front of her house lol, an hour or so and a shovel, I had a box load of mud.

I like the dirt and stuff down here, not nearly as sticky and covers the scratches just as good

As they should, if I owned it they'd pay huge or go to the next place. Nothing worse than walking around in 2" of mud in the bays cause the attendant can't keep up.

A guy at work needed work done to his jeep front end (i think), and apparently they used a lawn sprinkler for an hour or two on it. Im not sure which type of sprinkler tho, but if you phoned a couple of shops maybe you could find out.
This was a jeep dealership S down Blackfoot tr i believe. We thought that was a pretty cool solution, although you would need a warm day, or to do it inside.

If it`s rock frozen mud you got to park it in a warm shop overnight or tarp it and heat it.No way you`ll bust that much otherwise.

Look, volunteer help!

(My other option was 'I thought gitrdun was a creeper', but I don't know you well enough)

As an entrepeneur, nearly anything can be arranged for a nominal fee.
