Default ABA Grandmaster Award

The ABA has an exceptional awards program with several levels of lifetime achievements. So happy to have met the top milestone award. Just received my portrait in the mail today… exceptional work by the artist. Hard to believe that’s hand drawn. Right down to the detail of the cat I shot this winter having a frost bitten ear.

Thanks man! Seemed like an impossible goal when I started, kinda sad it’s over. Back to “meat” hunting

Way to go Lefty, seem like a dedicated hunter and very well deserved. Looking forward to your second grand master in the future…

Default ABA Awards

Does Alberta Bowhunters have awards for moose and bighorns?

Colorado Bowhunter's Association has an awards program for the "Big 8" which includes mule and whitetail deer, Elk, black bear, cougar, pronghorn, bighorn sheep and Mt goat.

"Big 9" adds either a Shiras moose or Desert Bighorn sheep to the Big 8..

"Big 10" includes the original 8 plus both the Shiras moose and Desert Bighorn.

Yup yearly awards for members for all 10 big game species we have here, bison and mountain goat seasons are suspended currently.

The award pictured is a legacy/lifetime award, top tier. All animals must be taken with archery equipment in Alberta while a member to qualify. All must meet P&Y minimum score.
