Default 2017 "Alberta Antelope Hunt Success"

With some of you that have already filled Archery Antelope tags and some that are waiting to go their rifle hunts, This is a little taste of our Hunt last year.
Those who were down there remember the incredible wind you had to deal with and denied some access where the fire hazard was something the landowners and Ranch owners were not willing to risk allowing hunters permission.
It was a quick un-scouted trip that my sons and i went on. They didn't have the 5 days to hunt so we had to get it done in the first couple days.

Check it out here..

Thanks for that! Man you had the wind! Unreal, but you got it done! Congrats!

Great hunt and video footage guys. I'm amazed at how close you were able to get to them? Seems they weren't to skiddish much of the time

It seemed if you stayed put they never took off at 60mph. As soon as we moved yes they spotted the movement and were gone.
I had us set up first thing in the morning and as they come out of the Coulees we were ready for them.

I have to accept some of the blame on Nathan missing the Big Bucks he was shooting at earlier. I suggested he use my 270 wsm and I had it zeroed at 100 yds instead of 200 yds..

Either way it was a fun hunt and we did pretty good for not knowing the area. I had 1 day by myself to do some scouting and gain permission. It would have been nice to use the 5 days of hunting but their work schedules didn't allow it...
