Fishing partner had her last day ice fishing as work gets in the way!
Ate pizza, had a few mishaps with line getting tangled and she hand bombed the fish in.
Planned future trips but this season is not over for me, got a few good days left!!!

Ahhh yup got out fished too!

Go outside to reel in dead sticks yup another one….
Still got out fished but a good ending.

Just like to add she is getting soft out there especially with the sun beating down on the snow come mid day.
Lots of stuck vehicles out there so be prepared to shovel etc.

Anyone been on the ice today? Just wondering how the snow travel is and the provincial park ramp getting off the ice.
Thanks

Ramp is slippery come mid day if the sun hits it but forecast doesn’t look like yesterday so should be good to go, ice travel is the same, can be awesome just could turn ugly come mid day if sun beats down and temps warm up.
Snow in some places around ice ridges is about 1-2 feet deep so pay attention and when you do stop the vehicle back up on your path so later on if it does warm up you can take a run at it.

Good luck, 3 days left going to hit the lake every day

After you pm me I thought I hadn’t given deep water a fair shake this year so I did and wow.
Went out to a waypoint I had marked from last year.
Still at it but iced 15 so far and lost a bunch too.
From 140 down I get chased and picked off.

And someone left me a bag of minnows out on the ice too,
I picked up the other crap too

Only two more days left so gotta make the most of it.

I had a slow morning yesterday checking out new spots…. Went out to 142’ for the afternoon and it was great. Iced 10 (a 74 and a 75cm) lost another 6 and they were still active as I was packing up before dusk. Some were coming down from above, some off the bottom, a real mixed bag. To top it off I was having the most luck with my own tied 3/8” jig. Hope the last day was a good one!
Cheers

And that a wrap!
Just iced #19 for today which was my goal to beat my personal best of 18 this season.
Was a blast this hard water season.
Simply awesome meeting so many forum members. Now looking forward toward open water.
Tight lines.
