After having VERY LITTLE action the past 3 days, I decided to try another spot I have not hit yet first thing.
I made it to my location and had about a 10+ min walk in and banked on the birds roosting in there usuall spot year ater year.
The toms over the years would usually roost in the corner and cross through an opening in the fence at the back of the property so setup close to it.
NO birds gobbled for the first 20 mins of light, but when they finaly did some soft yelps and clucks at them in the roost. 6:30 or so they hit the ground and did afew more soft calls and they were committed and on there way.
A jake came in first and hung up at 50 yrds wondering where I was and decided to leave and I did acouple yelps and turned him back which brought the tom in also.
7 am and BOOOOOOOOM, TAGGED OUT!
And my tom was down!!
