O.K. guys, the registration is now open for last years hunters and they are selling fast. Good for you. It will open for the rest next week.

For those who keep track of this sort of thing, we have seen roosters this spring who escaped the hunters, winter and the predators. The committee has released the hens that were purchased last year. That should make the roosters happy.

So... if your dog is going like a shot after a running rooster, and then suddenly stops on point... it is probably the scent cone from a hen.

No shooting hens! We are very hopeful that one of these days we may have lots of birds running around here.

People are starting to ask about the next festival in the Edmonton area.

That shows the first annual festival was pretty darn good.

I would also like to thank Densa and his fellow workers for putting on such a wonderful event.

The hunts are filling up fast. You can buy more than 2 birds each per day, and that is popular.

There will be hens out there this year and please don't shoot them. On the bright side the dog will find and point all of them. You'll get more dog work for the same money.
