Good clip.

Remember though he's not teaching the dog this stuff in the two minutes. He has spent a lot of time prior to this , training the dog.

It is an excellent work out both mentally and physically for the dog and handler.

Oh yea there are at least three different drills and just the "Home Plate" drill is a couple of months worth to get to the distance he was away from "home plate" on the second rep.

I think a lot of dog owners do not understand that the level of training in the clip is attainable with a lot of digs with just 15 -20 minutes a day of consistent training. The training never stops but it does get easier and is only minutes invested each day to get a 'push button' dog.

This clip reminds me of using flash cards with my kids. My dog loves these lightning drills. It is a sure treatment for ADHD. It keeps him focused on the handler.

Notice as well that the dog is set up to succeed. He is always a "Good dog"

Yup, "no lets see what happens" with that dog, that's were a rookie is best following a proper published system. With a good system steps are very incremental and in the end the dog learns it with much less pressure applied.

I like how engaged that dog is, I think that is a side benefit of shorter training sessions you leave the dog thinking this is great fun vs this is work after the 30 th rep.

I still have a hard time stopping when I am getting clean repetitions, but I have learned to stop before failure.

I think spring snow goose was a great way to get the rust off as long as you hold the standard
