Disease Precaution Information for new and seasoned hunters.
I was looking for something else on line and stumbled upon this webpage. I'm not fearmongering but only thinking the better educated a hunter becomes, the better quality and enjoyment of the hunt can be had. Good to know if you are sharing your wild foods with anyone else.
This is a good page to bookmark and use for reference for the new or seasoned hunter.

It's a pretty good read, I'm definitely not a fan of ticks after being in southeastern ab and finding one in my armpit! It's a good informational read on precautions

Almost enough information there to make you quit hunting. Chances of most of these are actually minimal. Wear gloves and don't cut yourself will get you a long ways.

Makes a guy want to wear a Hazmat Suit while hunting!
I am going to the Cabela's Store today to look for a Hazmat Suit in the Realtree Camo Pattern!

And people who hunt with greylynx laugh at him when he wears paper coveralls and arms length vet gloves when he cleans out an animal.
A real sissy.

I have to wonder Grey, is that the only reason they laugh?

The laughing stops when ol greylynx starts cutting little cysts off of the liver and spleen, and little nodules from inside the lungs. The laughing really stops when the guts get opened to see what might me crawling in there.
Even more fun is when the cheap bino microscope gets pulled out at camp, and greylynx starts putting his new pets into specimen bottles for further fun at home.
I had a summer job in the Longman Building in Edmonton. I sort of knew where and how to look for cooties.

I wonder how LONG the list of deadly diseases a person comes in contact on an International flight and wondering around in an international airport would be ??? Yeachh!
I'll gladly take my chances with hunting/camping with the perils associated moose, elk , wolf bear etc,

Grey, I think you are neat and would be happy to go hunting with you anytime!
Personally I am more concerned about grizzly's, then any pathogens ticks or mosquitos can through at me! Even worse, thief's stealing my trail cameras!
