Default Milo Hansen

Word on the street is Milo sold his buck to bass pro shop museum for 1 million USD. Would you sell if you were in his position?

I would bet he had one done a long time ago. Being worth a million it was probably kept in a vault somewhere.

There was a replica of this deer on display at the old Wholesale Sports in Saskatoon for years. The replica was very well done.

If you find one that will beat it
I’d ask triple right after it’s official and you would get it

I probably would have sold it 20 years ago for way less than $1 000 000. Good on him for holding out.

I was talking about this buck with a friend a couple of weeks ago. We were also wondering what ever happened to the Neil Morin buck.

With all the new technology, food plots and science behind deer management now there has been several close calls of bucks eclipsing the Hanson buck. Maybe started to feel the pressure that one would surpass him soon and his buck would then be worth half as much.

I was trying to locate the article online, but I thought I read several years ago that the original mount was sold to a collector in the US (can't remember the amount), and that Milo retained the "copyrights", so he got paid every time a copy was made for a new display or store (Cabelas, Bass Pro, Dicks etc)

I could very well be wrong.

As of 2010 he claimed he’d made about $600K to date off it. So add another 14 years seems your bang on.

I'm pretty sure EVERY Cabela's store anywhere has the replica of it.

They've also got the Broder non-typ mulie from Chip L Alberta, the Chadwick ram, a replica of the world record Alaska-Yukon moose, that's on display at Tok Ak etc...

He probably wants the money, while he can still enjoy it. I would do the same.
