Default Newbie looking to go out deer hunting.

I live in Calgary and would like to go Whitetail hunting in or around the area. (don't mind a but of a drive).

I am new to hunting and am excited to go out but my friends that said they would show me the ropes all jammed out at the last minute. I can go pretty much anytime, let me know if you have room. I have a quad to.

Smile Field Hunt

Anyone doing a field hunt for Geese in the Edmonton area on the 11th and have room for one more ? I have room in my truck, some decoys to add to the spread and my own layout blind. There is too much ice on the lakes for a good water hunt.

Default Edmonton area whitetail hunt

Hello anyone,
I recently moved to edmonton and am looking for a partner to get out any day between the 11th and 15th. I sold my truck but am willing to put a deer in my trunk if need be. I am a 3rd year hunter that only needs some help finding a good spot around edmonton ....a truck would be a plus. Will pay for gas and coffee.
thanks

Default First-time Hunter Gets Her Mule Deer

Hi first-time hunter, 40 year veteran hunter last week helped a new 50 plus first-time hunter get her first Mule deer in WMU 102. It was great to see her do all the things that needed to be done to put the deer down on the first shot with the help of a near by fence post. I am a disabled wheelchair hunter that is willing to help first-time hunter but I can not help a lot after the animal is down. Any hunter wanting to hunt with me, send me your contact info by email to realaccess@telus.net

I have some awesome access down south of longview for game as well , but would like to gain some more permission. Im 29/male an aircraft mechanic , outdoors is my hobby as well as rebuilding my 81 bronco thats in the garage right now. None of my friends are into the outdoors or hunting and fishing , so looking for a buddy to hunt and fish with !!!

Default 3rd year in Alberta (Edmonton)

still a vegetarian. Have poked around Tolfield chasing bambi and bought an "undersubscribed moose tag" for the Chinchaga area; would love to hook up with a hunter experienced with the Chin as what I saw late in the season got the juices flowing. 30 years hunting in BC (Kootenays) equipped for anything Alberta has to offer (that 10x14 wall tent sounds good); have truck - will travel. (yes I can send pictures of the truck if necessary). Successful "elker" but have yet to take home my own moose. send PM please if mildly interested.

Default Hunting buddy in the Calgary area

Recently joined the forum after checking in to see what was being discussed about the Ruger 204 (which I had to get - T3 Lite SS)

Livin on the west edge of Calgary. Hunted since I was 13, pretty much the previous 30+ years (deer, ducks, moose, varmints etc.), mostly east central Ab.

Looking to do more around the Calgary region. Have a son I'm teaching.

Would be interested in hunting with folks in the area.

I have pretty much all the vehicles, toys and hardware, much to the wife's dismay!

PM if interested.

FMJ

Default Hunting partner

Hey Everyone
I'm a 27 year old male, looking for a hunting partner,
Mostly for sheep and backpack hunts, the wife really
don't like me in the mountains for days by myself....
But to be on a mountain with someone in **** weather
could be trying if we didn't "click" so looking for someone
to do some ice fishing, spin or fly fishing, maybe a spring
Bear hunt, and come on some scouting trips to see if you can
handle, the physical task of sheep hunting... & to see if
we won't kill each other on the mountain LoL, going to
book off the end of Aug & Sept for a 10-14 day hunt then
a hunt @ the end of Oct last 5-7 days of the season.
I smoke! But will still out climb a non smoker Must be able
to keep up, must be in good shape, have good mountain
gear, (pack, sleepin bag, camo, good gun, very good boots)
Know your shooting abilities, and know the cal ur shooting
Example- telling me all about how good you are and this
And that and your shooting out to 1000 yards, then when
We go hunting and you let 5 rounds go at deer and not hit
It, then see a baby deer a blast it with big remmy to get
12 lbs of meat , not ****in happening. Don't care if your
Good, just be able to walk climb run up mountains, dont bitch
Hit what u shoot at, and have one rolled up and we'll be
Fine

If anyone is interested, I am making plans on two hunts....
I am in GP

One of the hunts will be in the mountains and you will need adequate gear. I may be able to outfit the right guy if he was short on some items.

The other is in the fothills, same applies as above.

PM for any details if you are intersted.

Mike

Default Rather be alone

I re-read what I wrote, and I sound like a @ss hole, but I have had some bad times taking people hunting with me. And the guy that shot the baby deer did only get 12lbs of meat after de-boning, and yes it really happened.
Im a new sheep hunter, and have put in a lot of time learning everything I can about it. Spots to go, new and lighter gear, found a guy to drop me off with horses, and a pick up, and spend about $10 000 in new gear for my hunt.
I know how sheep hunters are with info, and don't want to give out any info to the wrong people, (like being the only one on the mountain)
So looking for someone that is a 1%er someone who eats , sleeps sheep.
I don't wanna take someone into my spot to have 100 people in it next yr.
I don't even post pics cause I don't want people to see the spot...
TJ has wrote in AODM that a kid told him were he shot a ram from a pic using Google earth... I don't need that. So the right person is a must and might not be out there. Im going to quit smoking for the hunt, cause of the smell.
Come down to it , the wrong partner and fack a hunting trip
Would rather go alone...
On second thought I'm going alone and just going to buy a sat-phone
Will post a pic when my ram is on the wall...

Default Alberta Man

Last year was my first year of hunting. I loved it so much I had to pick up a Bow and a Tikka 30-06 Hunter. I live in Okotoks and would like to hunt deer Elk, and perhaps Moose. The wife is pregnant with our first child and is due in late Aug, however I am thinking of a way to get out for the opening week of hunting. If you any one is interested in teaching me a thing or two about hunting I would love to learn.

Come on guys, you're really derailing a useful thread. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but this thread is for finding a hunting partner and networking, not name calling. If you aren't offering assistance or looking for a hunting partner, find a different thread.
