Default Back pack gun sling attachment

Hey guys I finally got into riverboat / backpacking hunting the last couple of years. I have a good back pack now holds everything and meat to haul out if needed. The only thing I want to upgrade is an attachment to mount my rifle on the pack, but have a quick release if needed. I have a double shoulder back pack sling now, just uncomfortable and wearing the back pack at the same time.

What’s your thoughts. I found a slik sling online that’s quick easy to install.

Thanks Lugie

Ps keep your stick on the ice two hands people

The slik sling is a pretty good option.

Lots of good diy options to carry in multiple different positions. I have two favorites I have dreamed up. One is a front low ready carry and one is reverse barrel up in front of shoulder. Both systems allow complete hands free with reasonable quick access. PM me if you want a few pics of my set ups

The stone glacier one is quick and quiet, but I don’t like the balance shift with the gun on one side, or the barrel catching on willows. I just got used to carrying it in my hand if I’m actively hunting, or strapping it to the center of my pack if hiking in the dark/packing meat.

I have actually been really pleased with the Kifaru Gun Bearer, so much so that I don't even use an actual sling on my rifle anymore.

I like the front low carry 'safari' style slings. The only problem I find is when you are hunting with others, you need to be extra careful that your barrel is pointing in a safe direction, and not 'fanning' the area ahead of you.
