Default Poacher Shoots RCMP vehicle with Banned Rifle

So the guy attempts to poach caribou with a banned firearm, and shoots holes in the RCMP vehicle.

Man you just can't make this stuff up, how in the heck do you shoot your own vehicle while shooting at an animal ???

So much for all of that quality training.

The real issue is an on duty officer, in a marked patrol vehicle, trying to poach caribou, without a license, with a banned firearm.

I replaced a hood on a customer's truck that had quite the tear from shooting over his hood.

Did he at least say that the caribou was coming right at him?

At least he didn’t try to run the caribou over, and I’m guessing there wasn’t a fire hall around either……

Maybe he just committed career suicide instead. Almost sounds like he did something even more stupid and made this story up.

I won’t be too critical though. I shot the antennae off of my friend’s pick up while shooting at wild pigs out the window. Shooting out of a vehicle was legal where I was at.

I once shot the clearance light off a pickup truck, killed the deer too.

Would be interesting to see the dash cam footage on this one if it was captured.

Shooting with a scope will do that for you, very easily.

When its Law Enforcement then its considered a patrol carbine. But to a law abiding citizen it's an assault rifle.

I hope this guy gets held accountable from the charges.

The simple fact, that this idiot was accepted into the force, was issued a vehicle and banned firearms/magazines, and was sent out to enforce our laws, should be cause for alarm. I certainly wouldn't
want to depend on an individual with so little common sense, in a life and death situation . Perhaps the force needs to look at their screening process, for choosing officers?

I think that the real important part of screening is did they use proper pronouns ?

WTH would enter a guy’s mind to do such a thing? This is really a bizarro story.

What is really amazing is two RCMP officers can shoot at people and a fire hall and be cleared of any wrongdoing. Then this and be fired.

Obviously there is a serious issue with the individuals thought process, that went undetected, until he did this. Thankfully, the issues with this individual, did not result in anyone being injured or worse.

Perhaps they should put less emphasis on diversity, and quotas, and more on hiring more capable/trustworthy individuals? When you issue a person banned firearms, and send them out into the public, where they must make life and death situations, the stakes are much higher than for most professions. To even consider doing what this idiot attempted, demonstrates serious issues with his thought process.
