Default New to AO and Spray Lake Ice Fishing Inquiry

HI All! New to the site and looking forward to the insight from all. All geared up for ice fishing Spray Lake and new to Spray Lake. Just waiting for the ice build up. Other than communication from AO can anyone pass on where good info can be found for the lake freeze up and thickness. Chomping at the Hook!

Check the local fishing shop in Canmore and Banff. Your best bet

It tends to freeze up later, maybe late Dec but depends on the year. It can be quite slow but can also have very good days. I find first light to be the best and then seems to slow down quickly. Smelts on a jig head work well. I also get them jigging. Lots of other threads on here to look for info if you search.
