I caught about a half dozen like that and my daughter caught a few. We released them all but next time I'll save some for the smoker. I switched to a jig (from bottom "pickerel rig" baited with raw pork) and caught a few walleye that were too small to keep.
It was a fine day to share at the river with my daughter and the two dogs who were very interested in the fish.
