Question for the ford guys
Hey guys, I have a 09 f350 with the 18 in crappy steel rims with the chrome covers, now I can get a set of 20in ford aluminum rims, from a 2010 f350, and the question I have is do I need to do anything to put these on, they came off a stock f350, and mine is stock, can they be swapped straight across..

All right, let's go backwards. Got a 2006 F 150 with 17 " wheels. Seems overkill and an unnecessary tire expense. How difficult would it be to install 16" wheels.

All that matters is the bolt pattern, no need to worry about caliper size or offset with the trucks. Bolt em up.

Might knock your spedometer out a bit but thats not a big problem at all. I did find two yrs ago when i was in Camp Wainwright. I cut a sidewall on a good tire, 16 inch. When we went to town looking for a cheap worn out one to use a spare and continue hunting, every tire shop had lots of 17 and up but not one 16. Seemed to be an unwanted size to keep around.

They're not as bad as you'd think. Put a set of 20" Nokian studless on truck @ just over $300/ tire, mounted & balanced. Paid that for BFG's all terrain 16's 2 years ago. As more & more vehicles go to these bigger tires, the price has come down.
