Default rummel or chester?

my parents are camping at boulton creek next week.

I'm for sure doing Rawson and the upper lake, but for a second short hike n' fish should I do rummel or chester? I'm taking my girlfriend who is fairly new to fly fishing.

What sort of hike difficulty do you want?

I'm familiar with most of the lakes in the area, I just want an easy hike that's within 45 minutes of the campsite and has good fly fishing

Considering rummel has no real trail, I'd do Chester.

I'd also call ahead to see if the trail is still ok after the floods.

The trail to Rummel is good if you stick to the main trail. If you take the "alternate" route" at the bridge crossing, you will find that the land has changed a bit.

I love Rummel. But Chester is definitely easier to fish as Rummel can get windy. Plus, you get a chance for the only Dollies in Alberta at Chester.
