very good, some of the most fun I've had fly fishing has been on the red deer. a pool full of hungry goldeye on light fly tackle is endless joy. hunting for the browns is addictive,so much so that i am planning a dive or two into their underwater lairs to see whats going on down there. call it pre-season scouting, hahahaha. from red deer to the dam there are many good pools. in addition to the goldeye and browns there are also pike, walleye, whitefish and some immense burbot.
