Default open water?

just wondering if anybody knows where i might find some places that have open water to fish yet

any trout ponds that didnt winterkill around edmonton
i was thinking spring lake in stony

i'm thinking you can still ice fish most of the trout lakes around edm.

Not sure of the ice conditions but I have had great success at alot of local trout holes (other years) when the shoreline is open and there still is ice 20-40 feet from shore.

I use white or silver spinners cast onto the edge of the ice and then flipped into the water, let drop for a 5 to 10 count, then with an erratic medium slow retrieve speed.

Will x2 that technique. Works Awsome, add a little worm for extra result!

Lee Lake is open and Waterton is 60 % open.
