Default Three Mile bend Red deer

For all of you that live in Red Deer. Does anyone ever ice fish at three mile bend on that little pond that has pike in it?

There is likely decent fish in there. It was well flooded in the summer so may have some leftovers from the river. I think it's a great place for a little one, with a high probability of landing one.

Cheers

i do believe it is considered part of the red deer river, which (check the regs to be sure) i think has bait ban, so no minnows or scented lures

I dont think its even connected to the river. pike got in there when the river overflowed

Don't think it is. Regs mention nothing of it unless it's considered a trib ?

ive scoured the regs to no avail, but talked to a guy this spring when i went to go fishing before the red deer was technically open and he said he lost his liscence a week before thinking it was open to fishing. so i dont know for a fact, however not worth the risk imo

Worth a call to Red Deer F&W for sure. Doesn't seem to me like it would / could be a trib. It should fall under the general regulations for PP2

definitely worth a call, i always like to be on the safe side. the fish seem to be aggressive in there, i dont think there is much for them to eat. they bite pretty much anything you put in front of them

No doubt. Makes you wonder how they are surviving. Must be of smaller size. If i have some time tomorrow i will make the call and post Answer on here. I will try to get an email response.

Will check this thread first to see if someone has beat me to it.
