I will keep in touch. Probably will be a bit earlier than last time maybe 9 or so. Just waiting to hear from FIL as mom just got out of hospital yesterday and she may need a bit of help before. Sandra is going to babysit her the rest of the day if needed. Dale who came with us last time is booked in as well.

Darn I was finally going to do some work next week now I might have to go fishing.

Where do you fish at CV? The islands and boat launch seem to be popular.

We usually fish at the south end of the east islands or on the west side about half way up the lake in front of some islands. Probably will do the south east end this time out.

Darn, I wish I had known a little earlier so I could have booked the day off work. We spent all day at CV until 9pm, moved around all over the southeast islands starting straight east from the campground all the way down to the dam. We tried in 4-20 FOW without one single bite. Tried different smelts, power baits and rattling raps. Sixth straight skunk at CV, wife is doubting that there are any fish at all in there

All the holes we punched, the bottom was mostly all barren and sandy, we couldn't find the weedline, are there weedlines around the east islands? Found some interesting channels and drop offs but nothing even nibbled. Never saw anything at all come by on the flasher either. Only saw one keeper pike that someone else caught all day.

If you guys are going to stay for the evening burbs, I might be able to get off early and get out there before it gets too dark to see. Let me know where you plan on heading Ken.

Hey Slingshotz,

You were in the right area and Im surprised you never had any success. We were fishing around the islands and caught 5 pike and lost too many. I know the people around us were catching as well. That being said dont worry I got skunked too it was my buddys kid catching them. We stayed out until 11PM and didnt even get 1 burb or a hit.

Yes we will be there for the burb bite. We will probably be at the south end at that channel area I sent you about. There is a chance I might go over to the west side as well to my sweet spot off red rock road. Most likelt will be the east islands this trip .
