Default fishing west of Edmonton

Anybody been out west of Edmonton lately? I'm looking to head out on Wednesday, but not sure what ice is driveable. I've fished most lakes between Stony Plain and Entwhistle in the summer, but not much in the winter.

i went out the other day to Lac Ste Anne just out from the main pier. Caught a decent pike within about 10 minutes, but not even a nibble for the rest of the day.
