Default Hunting Boots?

I was wondering what everyone wore for hunting boots? I just ordered a pair of Wolverine Whitetail Scent-LokŪ Waterproof Boots - 8" from Cabela's, very light weight and should be good for the early season.

I wear Merrell's, can't remember the model, they are Gor-Tex and very comfortable.

Currently Meindl Island Pro's, so far the best I've used, previous favorite pair was some Danner's.

Thumbs up

Use to have Danners for a number of years but switched to Meindle's and love them. Great support and really comfortable to wear for long periods.

Default vanderhoof boot maker

There was a guy in vanderhoof, BC that made custom hiking boots for insane prices (I think in the neighbourhood of 800 bucks). Just wondering if anyone had ever tried any??

Default Boots

I have a pair of Irish Setters and never really liked them from the get go, always caused me problems hiking up hills.....having smaller feet, its tough just getting a pair to fit. That being said, I just purchased a pair of Danner Pronghorns and they fit like a glove, and are as light as a feather......from what I've heard from others that have had them, they are a great boot......lol

Muck boots are great as long as you dont have bigger calves. Other than that they are great.

Second season for these. Quite happy - they are good on any terrain, pretty much in any weather (above -15C, not colder)

Default Boots

I have size 12 feet that are at least EEE wide so I also find it hard to find boots that fit. Has anyone else with big feet found some good boots?

My Lowas are wide fit. They are wider than my Meindls and I find that my feet are more comfortable in them.
