hard to believe we have a tournament for a species that you can't fish without a lottery tag?

you can fish them all you want without a tag....fish weighed in during a tournament are released...just like you would have to if you didnt have tags....somehow...i think you already knew that and chose to ignore it so you could start a discussion on tournament mortality..seeing as slave isnt on tags anyway lol

I asked F&W about walleye this spring when I was getting my fishing License and was told I needed a lottery tag for any Walleye in the province. is this not so?
This is the first year in about 10 or 15 years I fished in AB.so the rules have changed a lot.

Not true, grab a reg book and read it. Then read it again. Then decide where you want to catch walleye from. Make sure if you want to keep them, you head to a lake which allows it. Or get tags.

Too rich for my blood. Leaving Monday for Nipawin and the Premier's Cup. Bob and I are looking for day money and the big prize. Gotta happen sooner or later!
