Default Pulled in a big one at Fallen Timber

I went to fallen timber yesterday. The water looked good from the parking lot. As i went further and further there was more ice. I would say that FTC is still 75% covered in ice.
I still fished, but no luck. All of my favorite holes were under a thick layer of ice.
I did however managed to pull in a big one.

A friend and are were hoping to hit up Fallen Timber tomorrow for the first time. Sad to hear it still has ice. We were planning on parking at the Fallentimber rec area.

I wonder if we would be better off hitting higher upstream?

Great video by the way.

That's exactly what I would say to my sons: "Well, ya gotta be careful."

nice catch haha was fishing fallen timber today lots of ice like u said was hard to find the fish because the water was so low and their all hiding deep in the cover, but i was able to find a school of rockies and manged to get 6 also one lil brown. after run off the fishing is usually really good on that creek. hit the red deer near sundre on the way back and managed one 17" brown in about 30 min of fishing. all in all nice day out but fishing was very slow.
