I am a welder by trade. This was my first aluminum project so to speak of. Always been my dream to build a boat. I always thought it would be a jet boat for rivers around here, but when I priced out new boats for off the west coast I thought here's my chance to build.

That sure is a beautiful boat. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the materials cost to build 'er from scratch?

i have about $125,000.00 in everything . That includes $6000.00 in professional blueprints, electronics, paint and everything else. I hired a porfessional to do all my wiring and electronics. I think his bill be about $10,000.00 for labor. I shopped around quite abit and this boat with all the options I have was going to cost around $180,000.00. So I ended up saving quite a bit. If I were to build another one it would be quite abit cheaper. I would save $6,000.00 on blueprints and about $2500.00 on the jig I built for shaping the hull. Plus it would take much less time.

This is my rig, Its my first working boat, Had to buy her last year when my uncle/ lifelong fishing partner passed away and i started fishing on my own.
19 foot fiberglass 1980s i would guess 115 merc seats 6 comfy and 2 for fishing Its not much of a looker like them fancy lunds but she gets the job done. I guess you could ski with it (she goes like snot) but for me ita A to B then cast. If you see me chugging along feel free to say Hi, always love meeting people on the water.

ok....let the snickering begin. my better half likes to go fishing sometimes when im off working somewhere. i call her car "the emasculator" cuz thats how i feel when i drive it, but i figured it would be funny to paint the boat to match. i was right!!

sometimes i even make me wonder.

notice the hitch on that bad boy.

and the fish magnet

Default My Zodiac

14.5 FishnHunt w/20Hp Yamaha 2 Stroke Short Shaft, pulled the useless bench seats out, carriage bolted in two Pedestals, and attached swivel seats starboard rear and port front to balance out. This boat runs slicker than the snot on a Roosters beak!!!
