Report from today; The water level is pretty good but the fishing is slow and the water isnt to bad but should be better by next week. I just came back from camping at the provincial park. i did see a person catch a 50cm walleye though and the fish should be surface feeding once the water settles down a bit.

It helps if you fish further upstream of the tribs, seems like the river gets a bit muddyer after every creek

thanks Master...I'm planning fish Pembina in early August since the recent weekends are all arranged already.

Are there any hints for fishing there in Aug as I have only fished river in early June?

Thanks again.

Floating poppers usually work good.We were using orange jigheads as the water wasnt that clear yesterday.I will be back there next week and let you know how it was! I usually fish where the lobstick river flows into the pembina

We just got back today. The fishing was really good but they were all small walleye and no keepers; they ranged from 14'' to 18'' but lots of fun.The water level is good and the water is very clear.Took some pics of my son enyoying some summer vacation. We used white jighead with a black tail and worked very good as i was advised by a F&W officer that gave us a good tip.BTW, we fished at the pembina campground where the lobstick river flows in...
