Default Vancouver Island Trip

Just returned. Numbers weren't as good as previous years, but it was nice not going out and catching 50 fish in a couple hours. Gets boring real quick. Instead, you had to work for double digit days, and the fish were chrome. Getting towed around by the fish in the float tube was pretty fun too.

this was a good test for the 6wt.

So was this.

Good show. The non-pink ones look like they would be a good battle. Did the long rod make it more fun?

Pinks were the usual, except for the ones that took a liking to coho flies. Those fish were ****ed off, and unlike any pinks i've caught before. The long rod only came out when my single hand decided to snap while playing a fouled fish. Really awesome way to break a favorite rod.

Nice. Any more pics of the tube towing Coho to share? Raw deal on the busted stick, guess that's better than doing it with the truck door or your boot though.
