Hope it didn't mess up your family dinner too badly. Happy Thanksgiving!
It didn’t for sure. My dad shook his head and laughed about it all day. If they would have knocked on the door and asked they likely would have got turkey. :-)

I will make an assumption here and blame the photographer, the family probably has no clue they are trespassing. Pay a photographer to take some pictures at nice locations and they follow suit. Not that it makes any difference but if you want it to stop find out who the photographer is.

I'm a photographer.
I don't get this and it gives photographers a bad name. I've driven by properties that I consider good photo ops and the first thing I do (and any reputable photographer does) is ask permission to photograph.
But many hobbyists seem to think that if it is photogenic it is fair game.
Don't know how to stop it...but try not to paint all of us with the same brush.

I can assure you this wasn’t done professionally.

So weird. I holler at my kids if they step on somebody's lawn as they walk down the sidewalk lol. I don't even put my truck on somebody's driveway if turning around.

A couple of LARGE loud-barking "hybrid" man-eaters sure help. Never had a problem with burglars or prowlers in my neighborhood, even at night.
Even neighbors a few houses down in either direction appreciated them, and never complained!

Red face Need better signs

Well, aren't they just special?
Some signs are more effective than others.

Total turds the lot of them!

If this was the first time they were there doing this, I would of let them have 3mins to do their
thing, and on minute 4, I would be out the door to confront them starting the convo as I approached
them with a soured face: "This is totally unacceptable, what's the deal with this"

Heaven! You surely understand the desire to be near Heaven?

The view of those old buildings is just as attractive to me as any mountains.
I couldn't put a $valuation on it. Just sayin....

Chuck, you are truly blessed to have been raised in such a beautiful place that complete strangers stop to admire the site and even photograph the event to save the memory. Add to that, being raised by folks that find no need for stupid signs cluttering the landscape, stunned attack animals or even the urge to hoard their blessing from complete strangers. Those few minutes, memories and photographs could have been completely destroyed with just a couple of harsh words. Good on you and your family for taking the high road and hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Not going to say what they are doing is morally right at all but unless you posted the entrance doesn't look like they are actually doing anything illegal.

I suppose that may be considered a lawn in which case you don't have to post the entrance.

Kind of a dumb law but that's how it is written unfortunately.
