Question What are you using for....

Sights...
Stabilizers...
Rests...
Quivers...
Releases...
Peeps...
Broadheads...

Kind of curious what some of you fellas are using, as I am fairly new again to wheels and there is soooooo many different products out there, I dont know where to start. Thought maybe hearing some brands/models, so i can do google searches is a good place to start.

Got to Fire a 70lb Bowtech Experience again today, and it sealed the deal on my choices. Waiting for the 2014 models to hit the stores!!!!!!!!!

(on further note.. why does WSS have so many old models from 4 years ago at regular prices? Crazy. they have a bow I would have bought for the Missus but im not paying full price for a year or two old bow :P )

trophy ridge static stabilizer
QAD rest
Tight spot quiver
Scott wildcat release
No peep/anchor sight

The last 2 bows I bought at WSS I bought on sale or was able to get a break on a discontinued bow from the manager....the Experience is still current.

What bow were you looking at for the wife?

This is what I'm running on my Assassin

Sights...Trophy Ridge React
Stabilizers...NAP Apache 8"
Rests...Whisker biscuit. May be slower but less moving part to worry about during the cold of hunting season
Quivers...stock Octane that came with my bow for now but looking at the Tightspot. I changed the foam in mine to a closed cell high density foam and it's made a difference in sound at the shot and removing arrows.
Releases...Scott Sabretooth
Peeps...Octane but G5 with my next strings
Broadheads...G5 Montecs or Grim Reaper Crossbow 1 1/2". Both in 100 grain.

Default Using

No sights
No stabiliser
No release
NO range finder

I do use a little bit of Velcro on the shelf for the arrow to sit on. I think it costs about 25 cents.

On my 2010 Diamond Stud
Rest - QAD LD
Sight - Trophy Ridge Micro Hitman
Peep - G5 Meta peep
Stab - Carbon Express 6"
Release - Tru Fire Hurricane fold back
Arrows - Carbon Express Mayhem Hunters w/ zeon vanes
Quiver - Diamond 2 piece
String - Scorpion strings, just replaced factory string a few months ago

I like my rest, my peep and my sight. I started with a Cobra sight but like the micro adjustments and brightness of the Trophy Ridge much better. Started with a wisker biscuit, thinking of going back for how simple they are. The QAD has been great.

I would like to upgrade my release to something with a lighter trigger, maybe a Scott?
I would like to upgrade my stab to a Fuse carbon blade if for nothing else but they look cool, or maybe a Doinker hunter model.
I could take or leave my quiver, but dont see upgrading any time soon.
So far the Scorpion string I just put on seems good, I would like to try Worlds Best. If I was buying a new bow, a new string is not where I would be spending my money.

Good Luck, if you make it down to Calgary to try out bows let me know I will meet you at CAC for a visit!
