Fixed blade Grim Reapers
Have been toying with the idea of getting some. Do they fly as well as the expandables?

I set myself up with the Hades late in the 2013 season, they fly a lot better then I thought, just as well as a field tip which is impressive for a fairly big fixed blade, yet to kill anything with them, I will let you know this spring on my black bear!

I've never been an expandable's guy. Heard to many horror stories of failure. I run a fixed blade. You can buy small brass rings or use dental floss and tune the blades so they match the lines of you fletchings. I find it helps a lot!

Shot a doe and a moose with the same head in one night! Worked pretty well for me. Nice and sharp and even sharpened on the back edges of the blades so be careful handling them! Switched to the QAD Exodus now tho...

We find if you wish to index you blades to Vanes the best way is to use a, ASD Arrow Squaring Device...we use them to square shaft for nocks, shaft for inserts and inserts themselves so arrow is 100% square for broadheads...which in turn improves arrow accuracy.
the ASD will shave an micro sliver off insert and broadhead can be lined or indexed to vane while Squaring arrow...
G5 makes a nice ASD that we use does both arrow shafts and inserts..

I played with them a bit. They did fly good. I really like the 1 3/8" razor cuts though.

They are sharp enough to go threw my 17 year old sons foot when he stepped on one.

Well, he was working on his bow and putting his broad heads on his arrows and he dropped a broadhead on the ground and stepped on it with the back of his foot, only one blade went in, we went to the doctor and it was all good, accidents happen.

yes accidents do...Glad to hear he is ok and no permanant or serious damge...
I remember when I started and was putting broadheads on the arrows, even broadhead wrenchs were had to come by then, so I used a piece of thick leather, yup I slipped and I painted all four walls red in that room...
