Default Raged him

Smoked this bad boy last night. Have had about 4 encounters with him. He hangs out with 2 larger bucks. Last night I spotted one of them bedded on the edge of a slough bottom in the middle of a standing canola field. I was sneaking up on the buck and was starting to get within range, 70yrds. That's when I spotted the tips of this one laying in the crop. I ranged the antlers at 55yrds and thought to myself well I cant go any further without risking busting this one out. Just as I thought that he stood up and I thought O sh** that's droppy. I already knew he was 55 yrds so I drew my bow settled the pin and hammered him. I could see the blood PUMPING outta him, he almost piled up within 60 yards but musta got a second wind cuz I watched him finally expire and go down about 100-120 yards from point of impact. I was surprised that the rage hypodermic blew right through him and even smashed through the big upper leg bone on the way out at 55 yards. Perfect heart shot.

Great Buck and Great Story!! If he wasn’t this biggest I can only imagine how big the other ones must be! Congratulations!

After putting a tape on him i'm wishing I didn't ruin the cape. He will be a really cool euro tho, can always get a cape I guess. Cant really tell in the pics but he has over 13" of trash on his bases + 8" drop tine= 21+ in extras.

Don't be sad....I did my best ever Muley, a great 5x5 with a cool bladed tine, as a euro, and absolutely love it. He was 183". Make a cool base for him and enjoy!
