I have a Poulan wild thing that I use for hunting and trapping. I know it's a cheap piece of junk, but it always, starts, even in -30, and it just plain works. Bought it used for $60 and its been gettin abused for the last 5 years. During the same time I have owned 3 Huskys, and the Poulan does a cold start the best. Might of just got a good one

Was thinking about this saw yesterday when I pulled the weed wacker out of storage.

I remembered the exhaust filter / spark arrester, so pulled it & cooked it red hot with the small propane torch. Light wire brushing & like new.
These plug up & no run.....which brings me to the reason I'm posting.

Chain saws have these screens in the exhaust ?
