Default Selling my SwitchBack XT to buy a Triax

Anybody here shoot a Triax ?

Only glanced at the Mathews 2018 models but looks like a small advantage
to the 2017 Triax.

I have a 2009 DXT I shoot now, SBXT is my backup bow.

Both have proven to be outstanding bows over the years.

Also have been looking at the BowTecs for a while now.

Sometimes it seems buying a new bow is very much like getting married.

It's tough as nails to decide. :-) (selling my SwitchBack)

And could end up dumb as a bag of hammers. (selling my Les Paul)

But sometimes, once in a while, it ends up being a Great thing!
(why did I wait so long ?)

So I guess these things have to be pondered ..

Took 2 years was looking at the Triax last year then the Traverse
and the Vertex and the Botec RealmX this year.

Decided upon the Triax over all.
what a sweet bow.

I bought a triax last year on a whim and loved it.

Recently shot side by side the new vertix, hoyt rx3 and my year old triax.

The triax still wins this year again. Little more aggressive draw but dead in the hand, no shock, quiet and faster than the other two.

Love that thing still.

Funny thing was advice/opinions I got about all these bows were
more or less..

... "harsh draw and dump into the the backwall."
... " if you draw 65'lbs go for a 60 or 55 because the new feel like
10lbs over."

Fact is opinions were from overbowed and under experianced archers.

The Triax matched at 28" DL and 55 lbs. peak to my DXT performed like this..
The Triax was lighter, was prolonged without effort after the shot on target
and was a tad easier to break the draw peak.

(not a harsh draw at all like many other said. Actually less than my DXT)

On the crono at my bow shop shooting 400 bemans at 28.5" with 100 grn. target heads (app. 412 total grain wt.) my DXT put out 262 fps. the Triax
put out 270 fps).

And the Triax was easier to draw and break the peak of the cams.

All the above are meant for target and hunting setups both.

Not one or the other.

After a while of looking I've decided for me or someone in my size 5' 10" and
weight 125 to 130 lbs a bow with a short ATA like the Triax will be a good fit.

Other people taller or with wider shoulders will feel much better at full draw
with a longer ATA.

Most important statement here is to try before you buy, other peoples opinions on the internet don't really apply. Do not hesitate to go to a
local bow shop and ask questions.
