goldeye or mooneye fishing

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone has any info on fishing for goldeyes or mooneyes on the Red Deer River west of Innisfail. I've caught them east of Innisfail on the RDR. I wanted to take my son as these are great scrappy little fish. Has anyone had success this year?
