Raps on the Bow River.

Heading to the Bow for some shore casting. I have been reading through the threads about using 2-3" Rap with a sinker 3' up. I assume this would be original floaters? Any advice on colors or type would be hugely appreciated.
Secondly, I drove through Priddis village the other day and stopped at the bridge where Priddis creek flows into Fishcreek. Looks like a decently deep spot. Has anyone wet a line here with any luck?

CD - 7 no floaters any colour works
CD - 5 maybe OK too
CD - 9 you lose way to many

I caught a small rainbow trout in that pool where Priddis creek enters fish creek. I have fished fish creek quite a lot. Lots of little trout right in the water flowing through Priddis. Unlikely to get any decent size, though.
