Default Ste Anne whitefish help

Looking for advice on catch whitefish there, I have no problems finding them just can’t get them to bite on anything. Open to all suggestions.

Thanks
Andy

You've tried silver or brass slender spoons,?
Usually bait one hook on the treble with a maggot. Any more than that and it won't flutter.

Little cast master smacked into the bottom was the go-to years ago.

What have you tried?

As said:

1/16th ounce copper kastmaster , stir up a bit of bottom , come up a foot and let it pause.

They hit it on the pause.

I’ve had luck with two wire worms tied on about 12” apart fishing 5-6 FOW. Use blood worm red wire works as red as possible.
You will catch them but not large amounts and the ones you catch will be tanks.

I always found them easy in shallow water but i think i need to find them in deeper water. They were always spooked in the shallows when i found them, pretty sure because of the tent shadow.

I haven't seen any whitefish here in the last 2 years. Sitting at 5 to 12 ft. Using an assortment of wire worms. Here`s hoping to a change in luck this ice season!
