Default Cleaning old jig goo?

Anybody have a magic solvent for dissolving and cleaning the rubber crap that comes from decades old jigs? I got given a whole bunch of fishing gear but there are lots of gold sticky soft plastic baits and a number that have melted inside containers.

I started putting jigs in paper bags in my tackle. I felt there was some reaction between the different plastic types.

Ones in bags are still good 30 years later.
