Default Huglu Shotguns

I was in PR a few days ago. They had in a bunch of new shotguns. Huglu. Looked nice, they has double barrels, single and I think a few pumps ; did not see the pumps. Very impressive. I ought a single in 28 g just because it felt so well made and I never had a single in 28 before.
Does anybody know much about these?
Apparently they make some of the double barrels for CZ.
Apologies if anybody has a thread already.

I bought a single 28g aswell in the case hardened version.
I really like it and for 300$ how can you go wrong especially with 5 chokes.
I also bought a 203DE I believe? 20g O/U with the case hardened receiver. I had it out shooting clays last week and absolutely love it! 1050$ for a pretty nice O/U with single selective trigger, ejectors, 5 chokes and a hard case.
Both guns lock up very tight and have a really nice fit and finish.
I'm sure Clay will chime in here, but from my understanding these are essentially a half priced CZ. Huglu manufactured all of CZ's guns for them. Than CZ shipped them state side and stamped Kansas City on them lol.
Either way I'm super impressed
Also there's a big thread on cgn about them

I have owned several CZ's in the past , all were made after their firing pin issues .
Never had s problem with any of them and my Mini bobwhite in 28 and the hammer Classic in 12 were fantastic guns that killed lots of birds .

Thanks, I'll go to CGN and check it out. If the doubles are as nice as this single, I'll likely 'need' one!

What years were there firing pin issues? I have a Redhead Deluxe from 08/09 and its been pretty flawless for me, probably about 5000 rounds down the tubes.

I believe the pin design was changed in '07.
My mini Bobwhite was an '09 made gun and all of my CZ's were also manufactured after that date.

The only thing I did not really take to was the swedged barrels for the chokes, but when shooting them one did not notice them at all.
Black chrome finish on the barrels was excellent, as was the chrome lining on the bores.
The stock finishes were not super but that can easily be fixed.
At times the opaque finish hid some VERY nice wood!
For the price I would buy another if i were looking........

Seems to me Huglu has a section in the "I love my" group on Shotgunworld.

I took the 28 single out shooting Friday. What a nice gun. A bit stiff to open at first but after a few shots, it was much better. Nicest single I've owned.
