Piprell is in northern Sask. Stocked with rainbows, browns, tigers and splake and its known for turning out some chunky fish. There is a public campground nearby and one lodge on the lake, Rainbow Lodge. Its about 150km north of Prince Albert.

Yes there’d be more than enough ice to drive on now. The suckers have gotten bad in there in recent years. Trout fishing has been slow for years as well

Piprell Lake.....Had 3 trips there, spent lots of time and cash....and sadly yes it was very unproductive. Nice accommodations and hosts, but very few fish. We even spent a great deal of our final day with the owners trying all the better spots. We were given the "suckers spawning" excuse for the lack of fish. Long trip from Edmonton for a lake that is supposed to have such greatness. Switched directions now- been on Hwy 24 "BC fishing highway" twice and do not regret this decision....back again in June.
