Default Pick a spot

My dad and I are going to head out for one last ice fishing adventure this season. We are looking to go somewhere further from Edmonton and stay overnight. I was thinking about either Slave, Lac La Biche or Cold lake. Hoping to pick a lake that has good road access for my truck as my Dad won't want to walk to far. All suggests for a cold weekend adventure are welcome. Thanks in advance.

If Cold Lake is a go from your end pm me and I can give you up to date ice conditions etc.

Hope you have a great outing!

All other things being equal at this time of year, and knowing what the lakes can cough up:

1. Lac La Biche
2. Cold Lake

3. Lesser Slave Lake

Realistically though with the convenience of having all the amenities right on shore in town, the ability to drive on at the Marina or Provincial Park, and the wisdom of 58thecat to help you out, I would say Cold Lake is the best choice. Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice! Easy of access would be paramount for us so cold lake it is!
