Biggest one I caught was in the early 90’s in the Peace River. No tape. No scale. I’ve caught a 29” this year in the NSR but the one from peace was bigger.

Me too. Mouth of the Heart River in town with a nightline in the 70s. Best guess was 12 lbs but who knows. Sold it to a nice Asian lady on the way home for $5.00. That's 50 chocolate bars back then!

I got my personal best 30" in Tobin this year but the biggest in my boat so far was my son's mother-in-law last year with a 31.5" from Crawling Valley. That may have been part of the original stocking.

October 1994, Winnipeg River north of Pine Falls MB, 14 lbs 12 oz on a certified scale, measured 33 ½” L. x 20 ¼” G. Doug Strange from In-Fisherman crew took a pic and published it in the 1994 In-Fisherman Fall Walleye issue ... that was special.

One on the wall. 29 inch fatty from battle river July 3rd 1996. She was 9lb one ounce at the taxidermist (Clarence kriaski) my son was born the next day he weighed 9 lb 2 ounce. Easy to remember to say the least. North wabasca 1999 or 2000. Last couple days before she closed landed a huge sow over 10 lb, got a picture of a picture to post of that one. Big ones out of moose lake 25 years ago had to be ten lbs. It was open year round and we ice fished it right to the last minute. Terminal tackle was junk back then. We straightened hooks, snapped lines, cussed like sailors. Kept the nice 5lb males and put the big football females back. Never got the very biggest of the ones we saw laying on the ice. They were huge. A year class that I would guess 12 to 15 lb a week before the spawn. Few and far between but when you saw one we all knew what you were talkin about.

Talked to a guy the other day who claims he caught a 14 1/2 lber out of the SSR last fall. That would have been an awesome fish.

10 lber at RDR right off the boat launch by Dickson Dam. Ran into the shallows and I thought I had a big pike on from the speed it had and quick turns. That was a great fighting walleye by all accounts and my biggest. Other than that, a 9.5 lber out of Pigeon.

Just shy of 31” on a personally designed walleye fly and an 8 weight rod at the mouth of a small river emptying into the Athabasca!
