Default Pregnant Gammarus with hooks up

Hey there! Gammarus on double hook, which I made earlier shown himself good at fishing and has attracted a lot of interest. After your feedbacks and the specificity of ice fishing on whitefish, I decided to change the design a bit. The fly became more difficult, but at the same time has become even more like a real shrimp. The attachment point is now in the middle, so the fly stays horizontally.
Thanks for the help, David (Speckle55) We will test it next time for sure

Yep, I echo the same. Very nice tie! Cool to see. Have you tried it on whites and trout?

You could try a jig hook with a needle and bead out the front...tied balanced style

Just curious, why the double hook? Why not just a single?..

Hi! If it is honest, I don't know. I was asked to make a shrimp on a double hook. Perhaps at a double hook balancing is better.

Hi Speckle. I also tie flys, I think I'll try them out. I bet once hooked not too many ever get off, correct?

This looks very interesting. You have a nice pattern. Would you mind PM me the pattern or even just the hook number/manufacturer?
Thanks, would love to try a few. I especially like the center hookup. Was it difficult to get it to balance? Any lead or weight under the body?
Cheers

Wayne

In Alberta I don't find double hooks for fly tying, I bought here
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171477483216...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
You need to use flat lead to make the fly's back. Wow, size hook 6 or 8. I think 8 is better.
