Default Wholesale Sports

Anyone been a wholesale lately, I'm looking for a new auto skeet thrower, mine got stolen over the weekend, it was a Do-All Raven. I still have the foot pedal and remote control so a lot a good it will do the POS.

I dropped by Wholesale Sports on the weekend. The discounts are lame because their sale is being controlled by a liquidator. 10-15% off regular price, big whoop. I mentioned the Cabelas midnight madness sale while waiting in line and the cashier said Cabela’s deals are way better, the liquidator even took away their staff discount hah

I went couple of days ago and there was nothing. I mean nothing I wanted that was on sale for less than Cabelas, even ammo with 10% off was still more than at Cabelas. they are trying to catch people off guard with the big sale signs.

I suggest you pull out your phone and price check every item before you buy. unless you are in the business of throwing away money.

Dropped by WSS at South Common in Edmonton after work. Saw a TIKKA Hunter combo (stainless steel & Burris Scope) in 270 for 1274.99 after 15% off. Couldn't resist, picked it up. Thank you Bill for awesome service as always. Hope the good employees find decent jobs post WSS.

The Black Friday sale on through Sunday is 10% off already discounted prices - guns and ammo excluded. (Calgary)

For those shopping the close out fiasco, please remember that the cashiers have no say in pricing etc. No point in heaping a bunch of crude and angry comments on them.

I did see a set of vortex razor binos for 1299. Not a bad deal for high end vortex stuff.

I was at the Calgary store on Thursday. Guns at 25% off. When they hit 30% off, I'm gonna pull the trigger. Someone might beat me to it, but it's all part of the fun in a Dutch auction.

It's still ok to say Dutch auction, isn't it?

Entire gun section in the south Edmonton location was empty and roped off. Same for the fly fishing section.

Checked out the Lethbridge wholesale today, all tackle 70% off, watched the last gun in the store get sold. Managed some FMJs for $40 per 6 and enough tackle to last me and my kids a LONG time. Cabelas, Canadian Tire and any other outdoor store might not see my money for quite a while. Sad to see wholesale close, however my credit card has taken a hit as i did about 5 years of spending in the last month.

Same here, I have bought a lot of fishing tackle in the last 2 months, should be good for a long, long time.

Holy cleaned out. Very few items left in South calgary. Shelves are being dismantled. A few hundred boxes of ammo left but not in the popular calibers. Some camo and some bows.

Was looking for reloading stuff but it has been severely picked over.

I grabbed enough saltwater tackle to outlive my grandsons I think.

I also bought a Savage 30-06 axis with scope, $400 out the door. I bought it for my son but he apparently already has a rifle, didn't know.
I am going to list the rifle for what I paid if anyone wants it.
There was supposed to be a $100 rebate from Savage but it conveniently started on the 19th, several days after I bought this one. I am sure this bit a lot of guys.

None left. Was there last night and know there is no reason to go there for boxing day now. No decoys or much of anything.

Calgary store has half-a-dozen Savage Lightweight Hunters in 30-06, a far superior rifle for $465 + tax.

Those are the only firearms they have left. Store is pretty bare...

I was in Saskatoon a couple weeks ago. Wow was it bare lol.
There were a few 'awesome deals' according to the counter people, like the plain-jane bare 10/22 for $599!!! HAHAHAHAHA
Several of us laughed at that one, which only annoyed her mildly, she did not care one iota.
The price jump on some things were staggering. Lures marked at 40% off, $12.99 regular price that were $8.99 in Edmonton, which I know for certain because the same week I bought 30 of them.
Still going to miss that store, if for nothing else the saltwater tackle.

I was at the north Edmonton store yesterday

No guns left at all and 2 racks of overpriced scopes/bases and random stocks and holsters, mostly just junk left, i left with nothing, not many people buying much when I was there, cashiers looked bored
