Default Edmonton Poachers...Stay away!

This ****es me off!

i was out fishing on sunday. i get to the river, and start talking to a group of fishermen/woman.

3 people 4 rods...so i start to explain to the man that fishing with 2 lines is illegal in the sof****er time.... and he brushes it off.

strike 1.

then the guy comes and fishes by me and i get tangled in his line. so i pull my jig off of his line, and notice he's using barbed hooks.

strike 2.

then he catches a walleye which looked small from where i was. so when i change spot, i managed to take a look at the walleye that he put on shore.

so i tell him what the size limits are....have to be more then 50 cm's to keep.

and this walleye was musky bait sized. about 30 cm's. so that just steamed me up.

after i tell him about the limits, i see him put the fish in a plastic bag....this guy must be dumb!!!

Strike 3, you're out!

i studied in forestry in ottawa, but went to Fleming College and took the Fish and Wildlife course. so being the regular fishermen i am. i took it the initiative and called the poachers hotline. and the rest writes its self.

why are people sooo dumb!!! well i had to spill my beans.

hope this is a lesson for all the other poachers lurking on this board. and they think twice before they go out and fish. who know's who will be fishing beside them!!!!!!

Good work we need more people doing the same. What about Joussard poachers? Why only Edmonton poachers stay away?

Good on you for reporting it.
Too many people would have just complained but not done anything about it.

Good to see somebody getting nailed for poaching...and I can't believe how blatant some people are about it...especially after being given a very sporting 'head's up' by noslack.
