Default Couple big bad Wolfies....

Wife and I headed out to our butchers to pick up meat... these two characters were 80-100 meters off the road just north of the DU Ranch

I would think the DU would want wolves taken out whenever and wherever possible

Not coyotes.
I know the difference.

The pics sure don’t do their size justice. Rushed pics as I slammed on the brakes and whipped er in reverse.

Very prudent, because if you have no Monet, you are Baroque.
Nice photos, any idea how many are in this pack?

We only saw the two. So I don’t know if there were more over the hill or what.

We may meet again, my girl has a late season cow tag.

I’ll be ready.

Bessie I mean so what if they take some livestock, I would think if you ranch where they are that's just the cost of ranching in that environment, is it not?? Sort of not really their fault as that's what they do, eat stuff!!

Easy to say so flippantly, when it’s not your $1500 heifers or calves being killed or destroyed.

Wolves are beautiful and I love seeing them in the wild, but they need to have a healthy fear of man and stay their distance from his livelihood.

Ok... so where do you live..? If cougars ‘come back’ and start inhabiting your neighborhood.... and eat your pets or take a kid.... are you gonna apply the same logic for being in their ‘historical natural range’?

Are you prepared to lose such and chalk it up to ‘that’s the cost of living there?’

If so, then I got no argument with you...... but I respectfully disagree with you and think that your post is incredibly short sighted and tone deaf to a group of people that I have nothing but respect for.

Well, according to some forum members, dressing like this will keep us safe in the field.
Good luck making wolf rugs, thin them out before they decimate the local ungulate population.

Oh probably, but I’m pretty sure Dan and Puff would very much prefer that you let them know ahead of time that your gonna be shooting or going on their land. I’ve known them for 20+ years. I wouldn’t be comfortable taking shots there unless I talked to them first.

They are great people.

Not all of them, just make an example of one or two...we had a pack move into an area I've been hunting for ten years, and the game is completely gone. Also taken multiple livestock from locals.
